19|1: 19 questions in 1 minute is our blog series in which we interview Impexium staff members. This week's guest is Tyler Keeney, Client Success Account Manager.

 

  1. What is your role at Impexium? Why did you decide to join the team? I serve as a client advocate—specifically a Customer Success Manager.  I enjoy helping others find solutions to their business challenges.  Since my family background is rooted in association work, a technology firm like Impexium, which serves the association industry, seemed like a perfect fit.
  1. What have you learned so far about the association industry in your new role?  What are you working on right now and how does that impact our customers? All associations, big or small, have similar needs when it comes to finding the best technology solutions. Right now, I am educating myself on what new functionality is in the upcoming release so that I can better meet our client’s needs.
  1. What did you do prior to joining Impexium? I have spent much of my career working for trade associations.
  1. What was the most valuable thing you learned and how does it help you today? Building relationships are invaluable. Whether leveraging the support of colleagues or clients, it is all about the team.
  1. Who inspires you? Jose Andres. He is completely selfless, and his contributions impact the lives of thousands worldwide.   
  1. What’s the last book you read? Hillbilly Elegy. Why did you choose it? It was recommended to me by a friend. What did you like or learn from it? It reminds me how fortunate I was to grow up in a supportive family.
  1. What are you currently watching on Netflix or Amazon Prime? The Travelers. What do you enjoy about it? I enjoy science fiction, especially when the plot includes characters from the future.
  1. What three traits define you? Determination, integrity and perseverance.
  1. If you could visit anywhere in the world you’ve never been, where would you go? Tuscany or the Amalfi coast…it’s a toss-up.
  1. Who did you first see live in concert?  The Who. Who was the last live concert you attended? Bryan Adams.
  1. What was your favorite TV show growing up? Star Trek…the original series.
  1. What’s your favorite indoor/outdoor activity? Biking along the Potomac River in Washington, D.C.
  2. What would you most like to tell yourself at age 13? You can accomplish anything if you work hard enough.
  1. If you could learn to do anything, what would it be? To be a master chef.
  1. If you could have one superpower, what would it be? Ease people’s pain.
  1. If you could go back in time to any era, which era would it be and why? The 1950’s. Life seemed much simpler.
  1. In the Impexium kitchen, what is your go-to snack? Peanut M&M’s.
  1. How do you define success? When our clients are successful, I take pride in helping them reach their business goals.
  1. Ten years ago, who did you think you would be now? In a leadership role at a cause-related non-profit.
  1. What is your favorite thing about working at Impexium? The wealth of talent and dedication of the entire Impexium staff.
